1. Different types of clothing material may need to be put into your appliance in different volumes. For example, a typical 10kg machine may perform at its best if the following guideline weights are used:

• Cotton fabrics — 10kg

• Jeans — 4kg

• Synthetic fabrics — 5kg

• Mixed fabrics — 5kg

• Woollens — 2 kg

2. To help you judge approximate weights of your washing, typical items are:

• 1 sheet — about 500g of cotton

• 1 woolen sweater — about 400g of wool
  

• 1 pair of socks — about 50g of cotton
  

• 1 pair of jeans — about 800g of cotton
  

• 1 bath towel — about 300g of cotton
