Garment troubleshooting

1. My clothing does not smell fresh - Washed clothes that do not smell fresh can be caused by a number of factors, to reduce these:

  • Perform a regular maintenance wash (once a month).
  • Make sure the detergent drawer is clean.
  • Make sure you are not using too much fabric conditioner.

2. My clothing is being damaged or torn -

  • Check you are using a suitable detergent for the garments being washed.
  • You may be overloading the appliance.

3. Bleached or faded mark being left on clothing - This may be due to bleach or cosmetic/ skin treatments products containing bleach transferring from hand to towel whilst washing and drying your hands.

  • Ensure you wash hands thoroughly to remove any cleaning products before drying your hands.

4. Rusty brown marks being left on clothing - Most likely cause for this is water contamination, possible sources are plumbing or building works being carried out on your house or in the local area.

  • Run water through your taps before using the appliance to help clear the water supply.
  • Sometimes rust stains can be removed by rubbing the affected areas with salt and lemon juice.
  • Rinse thoroughly afterwards.

5. Dark stains being left on clothing - Potential causes are hand wash or other toiletry products.

  • Your may need to rewash these garments to remove.
  • Check you are using the correct programme for washing.
  • Make sure you are not using a quick wash programme.

6. Rubber marks being left on clothing - Rubber marks on your clothing can be caused by a number of factors, to reduce these:

  • Do not overload the appliance.
  • Ensure all garments are fully in the drum and not getting trapped in the door.

7. Washed clothes are too creased - Creased clothes can be caused by a number of factors:

  • The machine may be overloaded.
  • The spin speed may be incorrect for the type of garment.
  • The water temperature may be too high.
  • The wash cycle may be incorrect for the type of garment.
  • Unless you are drying the clothing as well. Remove your clothing as soon as the spin cycle has finished.
