Positioning the hob
1.
Install the hob in a dry, well ventilated room.
2.
Ensure the hob is positioned on a firm level base that is correctly balanced.
3. Ensure there are no flammable or combustible materials close to the hob such as curtains, clothing or oil.

Check that worktop and furniture surrounding the hob are made of materials which are resistant to temperatures above 100ÂșC.
5.
If the cupboards in the kitchen are higher than the worktop, ensure there is at least 100mm away from the sides of the hob for air circulation.
6. Ensure there is a minimum of 20mm either side and behind the hob for air circulation.
7.
Ensure there is at least 50mm distance from any storage device next to the hob.
8.
Ensure there is 650-700mm distance from any cooker hood or cupboard above the hob.
