Dishwashers

1. We recommend only to use the drainage hose supplied with the dishwasher. Ensure when installing there are no kinks and the drainage pipe is not trapped under the appliance.

Locate the end of the water drain hose on the back of the appliance.

Drainage hose may be extended up to 3m if necessary (total length 4.5m). Minimum internal diameter of extension hoses must be at least 14mm.

2. Your appliance may come supplied with a U-shaped wall bracket (or hose support crook) to help suspend the drain hose on a wall at the required height. Attach this to your drain hose before fixing it to the wall.

Note: Where possible you should not extend the drain hose.

3. The drain hose needs to be elevated to a maximum height of 95cm, this allows the waste water to drain away more efficiently and stop water being let back into the appliance.

Check the exact details for the recommend height of the drain hose in the instruction manual.

4. Standpipe connection — Push the drainage hose down into the standpipe, making sure that it cannot touch the bottom of the standpipe. If the drain hose does touch the bottom it may or cause the drain to leak or overflow or your appliance may not drain waste water away efficiently.

Warning: We recommend that the waste pipe should not be inserted further than 15cm (6 inches) into the standpipe.

5. Existing waste trap — Important: Before connecting the drain hose, ensure that any blanking plug or removable end has been taken off the waste pipe spigot.

Minimum internal diameter of spigot 14mm.

6. Existing waste trap — If you are connecting it to an existing waste pipe (for example, an under-sink trap), connect the drain hose by pushing it firmly on to the waste pipe spigot (the small pipe connected to the sinkʼs drainage pipework).

7. If you do not have an existing waste pipe to connect your drain hose to, it can be placed over the edge of a sink or basin using the hose support crook.

Ensure that the open end of the drain hose does not become submerged under water and that the support crook is well secured to the edge of the sink or basin to prevent it shaking or falling off when water is being pumped out.
