Resting prior to operating
- Most refrigeration and freezing appliances need to be allowed to ‘settle’ before they are switched on. This allows the internal gases and the cooling elements of the appliance to operate correctly. Not allowing for this ‘setting’ period may damage the appliance.
- 1. It is advisable to wait at least 4 hours before connecting the appliance for the first time, this allows the oil to flow back into the compressor.
